Just to quickly answer to Magnumhigins I think that the biggest problem with this event was a dissapointment that I think most of us felt when realizing that from the organizational point of view it was not better than a regular meeting on a random parking lot. As a matter of fact all the organizing turned out to be more of a nuisance than an advantage. We could've met by the shopping mall and it would be much more convenient a venue. We could at least have had a place to buy drinks or a dinner. Also, a lot more of ordinary people would have had a chance to see our cars than on those outskirts of the city people pass by without really looking.
Don't get me wrong, it was still a great meeting but it was supposed to be epic. 30th anniversary is not something that happens every year. There was a lot of time and even here, on this forum there were questions and suggestions about how to make it great. It was all disregarded and every question was answered in a similar way: "it's a surprise, there's still plenty of time, don't ask questions, you'll see" when in fact there turned out to bo nothing at all worth mentioning. The argument that there was no budget is not valid either. You could've said that 4 months ago. There were people willing to help. We could've participated in the costs. At least there could be an option to pay for example 20zl per car to get something, pay 50 to get more etc.
You say you didn't know they would close the premises at 2pm. It says so on their doors. This is what the organizing means - to know things, to forsee problems before they actually happen and to come up with a detailed plan that all the parties are willing to stick to.
To sum it up - it was great in spite of the way it was organized. I hope this lesson learnt in a hard way will pay off in the future.
